Delivery SUCCESS!!!

My delivery came ON TIME!! (And my preliminary once over looks like it’s complete).

I ordered 5 book cases in late July. The only IKEA in my state was out of stock so I stalked the website until I was able to check out. After the horror stories here, I was not optimistic...

I did get my confirmation email immediately.

I called every week to get updates from customer service. Responses varied, but most told me the order looked ok but would likely be delayed a few days or weeks.

I got an email telling me my order was being picked, but the update page never moved from preparing until it showed it was out for delivery.

I got an email telling me my order was being sent from the warehouse to the delivery company. I got another email confirming my delivery date and that I would get a robo call from the delivery company. I never got a robo call, so I called the company the next morning. They told me it would come that day. I got a robo call the morning of and my order came in the stated window. Amazing.

Interestingly, all my emails came the day of or after I called customer service. Coincidence or did calling help keep my order on track? No idea. But that’s my success story! (Assembling on the other hand... The boxes are so HEAVY!)
