I would like to buy the Ikea Symfonisk bookshelf speaker to expand my SmartHome with cheap but still very good AirPlay2 speakers.

Ikea states that you have to set up the speaker via the Sonos app. Is it also possible to set up the Symfonisk directly through the Apple Home app by using "Add Device" to find the WiFi speaker similar to adding HomeKit capable plug-in e.g. with HomeKit QR code?

Since I only use the speaker anyway via the speaker selection on the iPhone, iPod or Macbook or via a command to the HomePod to let the speaker play, I find an extra app from Sonos pretty unnecessary, especially because you have to register with Sonos additionally.

I hope someone has ever tried to set up the speaker directly with Apple Home and not the "detour" via the Sonos app.
