It’s playoff time. Our game day eve Seattle Seahawks injury report lets you know who could miss the Wildcard Round matchup against Los Angeles.

Last week’s game against San Francisco sure wasn’t pretty. Then again, that has been the case as of late. The Seattle Seahawks win games but do it ugly. A win is a win. That’s even more important during the playoffs. It doesn’t matter the “W” is a work of art worthy of a museum or a first grader’s finger painting.

“Win and advance” is the mantra for March Madness, now it’s the mantra for the Seahawks. They start their playoff journey in the Wild Card Round against the Los Angeles Rams.

The Seahawks started this year with a dominating offense and laughable defense. They ended it with a much-improved defense and a somewhat stagnate offense. Emerald City’s team has the talent for a deep run. If they can put the first half of 2020’s offense together with the second half’s defense, the rest of the league should be scared.

Injuries

Seattle Seahawks

Out IR – WR Josh Gordon (suspended), DE Bruce Irvin (knee), S Marquise Blair (knee), WR Phillip Dorsett (foot), S Lano Hill (back), CB Neiko Thorpe (groin), RB Travis Homer (knee), CB Quinton Dunbar (knee), OL Jamarco Jones (groin).

Questionable – CB Shaquill Griffin (hamstring), DT Jarran Reed (groin), RB Rashaad Penny (knee).

Notes – The Seattle Seahawks injury list looks brief, but the devil is in the details. Tuesday, Pete Carroll said safety Jamal Adams would be a game-time decision after he did not practice. Even though he was limited the last two days in practice, it looks like “The Prez” is ready to go on Saturday. So is defensive tackle Jarran Reed. Like Adams, Reed got hurt against San Francisco and was limited this week.

They’ll need Adams because, during the week, cornerback Shaquill Griffin injured a hamstring. He’s listed as questionable. Even though cornerback Tre Flowers is back from injured reserve, it doesn’t make him 100 percent.

The Seattle Seahawks offensive line should be at 100 percent. Left guard Mike Iupati and right tackle Brandon Shell will be back in the lineup. So should tight end Greg Olsen and running back Carlos Hyde. Both skill position players sat out the season finale against San Francisco.

Speaking of running backs, Rashaad Penny, who is on the comeback trail from knee surgery a year ago, is listed as questionable. Deejay Dallas, who missed the last few weeks with an ankle injury, is ready to return.

Los Angeles Rams

Out IR – RB Darrell Henderson, LB Travin Howard, LB Justin Lawler.

Questionable – QB Jared Goff (thumb), ILB Micah Kiser (knee), LG David Edwards (ankle)

Notes – Los Angeles is even healthier than when the teams met two weeks ago at Lumen Field. The big question is at quarterback. Incumbent Jared Goff injured his thumb in Seattle, which required surgery. His backup John Wohlford did a good job in Goff’s absence last week against Arizona as the veteran was recovering. Coach Sean McVay said Goff made progress during the week towards a return, so this week’s starter isn’t likely to be announced until close to kickoff.

It remains to be seen how much inside linebacker Micah Kaiser will play on Saturday. He is newly off injured reserve and was limited in practice all week.
