After every Seattle Seahawks game, Pacific Northwest Sports presents our Dud and Stud of the week. Here are the Zeroes and Heroes of the Seahawks’ 30-20 playoff loss to Los Angeles.

Super Wild Card Saturday! Yeah, this is dumb. Now it’s even dumber because a fringe playoff team eliminated the . The final score was 30-20, but from ‘s pick-six on, the game never felt that close.

After a 5-0 start, Seattle’s offense was broken. It never got fixed. It’s hard to figure out what the main issue is because there are so many problems. Although, I think Brian Schottenheimer’s time as the offensive coordinator is up. More on that later.

During the Fox broadcast, Joe Buck provided a shocking stat when the game was 20-10. “The Rams (offense) have 1 touchdown in their last 31 drives.” After that comment, the Rams had 2 touchdowns in their last 34 drives. The Seahawks came into the game with 10 straight home playoff wins. Head Coach Pete Carroll is 6-0 in home playoff games. That went out the window.

Los Angeles started the game with backup John Wolford at quarterback. promptly knocked him out of the game in the first half. Best wishes to Wolford as he was rushed to the hospital with a neck injury due to the hit. That brought in one-handed Jared Goff. He wasn’t great but managed the Rams offense well enough to win. Truth be told, I’m not sure if Wolford stayed in if the Seahawks would have won.

So, let’s get to the goods. It’s hard to find some studs in this game, but we managed to get some. We here at PNWS are hard workers. It’s super easy to find the duds. In fact, it’s difficult to narrow it down to just the ones we selected.
