A few minor problems and questions regarding my Lenovo legion 5.

A few days ago I received a brand new legion 5, but I’ve run into mainly two problems that I don’t exactly know how to fix. First of all, for some reason, my resolution becomes trash whenever I play any type of game. I have a 1080p 144Hz screen that’s very nice in normal activities, but on games the resolution goes down to like 720p and I don’t know why. My brother on the other hand, who has a pc with a 1080p 144Hz monitor, has great resolution all the time.Could it be because of a FPS capper?

The last thing I wanted to see about is the fact that my fans go fairly loud when I try playing somewhat graphically intense games, like World of Tanks (I’m poor don’t judge me). By loud I mean audible enough to annoy you when you’re wearing headphones at low volume. Is that just the fans normally, or is it my laptop?

Answers would be greatly appreciated, and sorry if I sound dumb but I’m fairly new to this whole pc/laptop business and I’m not sure what’s normal and what’s not. Thanks for the help.

Edit: Forgot to say that yes, I did try to turn anti-liaising on/off and in a way it worked since it did get a little better, but the resolution is still much less than what I saw on a screen with the exact same base resolution and refresh rate.
