What is it like to work in a "Test Automation" position?
Hey everyone,
As I have been growing into my DevOps role, I have found myself becoming more and more interested in test automation. This goes beyond standard unit/integration testing, and includes things like automated load testing, stress tests, CI etc.
Not long ago my naive version of testing any software was basically just "run it and see what happens". Now I am constantly thinking about running automated, repeatable tests whereever I can (and is practical).
So I am wondering what it is like to work in a full time "Test Automation" position. I have seen the job title thrown around a bit, e.g. test automation engineer, lead etc.
Any thought?
