what's the feature that enables the drone to hold still even without GPS?

Is there a way to tell from a drone's product description whether the drone is able to hold in position without drifting, even without GPS signal?

My understanding is that drones hold their position use a combination of GPS signals and footage from the downward-pointing camera. So, assuming a non-uniform ground below the drone (and assuming the camera is pointed down), I would think some of them could hold still without drifting even without having a GPS signal, so that I can either practice flying indoors, or fly it inside an abandoned building.

But I just got a Snaptain 7100 and it seems like indoors I have to fly it in "ATTI" (attitude) mode, and in that mode, the drone drifts very easily, even when the camera is aimed at the floor. (It seems to hold still OK when it's outside and has GPS signal.)

Is there a name for a feature that indicates a drone can hold its position even without GPS? Or do you just have to ask people who have that model?
