My Story with IKEA Canada.
| On Friday April 30, I moved into a new apartment and had ordered a bedframe from IKEA. Paid $619. They delivered it 1 day earlier despite schedule but ok, luckily I had anticipated wrong delivery dates from them from experience so I had the keys to the place. However, the next day the items arrived and the taskrabbit guy was here to assemble it. He opened the boxes and realized IKEA had sent missing parts. Long story short. I had no bed in my new apartment for 7 days, just the mattress on the floor, backpain, no communication from IKEA, no pick ups because Covid, one agent even coldly told me 'it could take up to 28 business days to send you the missing pieces, gave me a $50 IKEA gift card, and another agent on Twitter told me to come back after the situation is resolved in case I felt like the compensation was not enough. And I did just that. Please see the passive aggressive reaction. I obviously rejected the $10 because... I will not be using IKEA anymore and definitely not recommending them, considering this is not the first incident. |
