Might seem like a dumb question at first, but I currently have two Alex units holding up a 200cm Linnmon desk.

I feel like I need a smaller desk, so I was looking to get the Lagkapten (140cm) as a replacement.

My issue falls in the fact that I have a wider chair, and the 140cm Lagkapten desk would have to be offset about 5cm either side of the alex drawers in order to fit my chair under the desk (There would be 5cm of the alex unit poking out either side of the desk). Do you think this will still be structurally okay to use if the desk doesn't have a very heavy load and the desk is secured to the table by velcro strips?
