PFL 3 official results

We are three rounds into the PFL regular season, so you could easily see that fighters were hungry to get points on the board and surpass the athletes who performed in the first two rounds.

The top four fighters after the regular season move on to the playoffs.

Results from the night of action

Main Card

Renan Ferreira v Fabricio Werdum

Werdum has taken his opponent down in the first twelve seconds. Werdum had Ferreira in a triangle and Ferreira seemed to have showed a fierce desire to survive as he landed huge shots. But a closer look showed that Ferreira seemed to have tapped twice before rallying with the fists. Controversial result!

Official: Renan Ferreira def. Fabricio Werdum via knockout

Kayla Harrison v Mariana Morais

The 2019 PFL Women’s Lightweight champion talks a big game and walks it too. A superb takedown scored by Harrison led to her having mount and she piled the pressure on Morais. And ninety seconds in, she was pulled off by the referee. Superb.

Brandon Sayles v Mohammed Usman

The PFL cage was shaking with every movement from these massive heavyweights. Sayles showed his experience from the jump as he took the very best from Usman and still get himself going with kicks and hooks. Usman was landing in the first round but it didn’t look like it hurt Sayles at all. Sayles found joy with the kicks to the body and front leg of Usman he wanted to keep the power at bay. In the second round, Usman started well and found his range but he was dropped by Sayles two minutes into the round. Usman was dropped a second time and Sayles poured it on with the punches and choked Usman out. It was a tough night out for the African who looked like he has much to learn, but there is heavyweight type durability and strength.

Official: Brandon Sayles def. Mohammed Usman via technical submission

Larissa Pacheco v Julija Pajic

Pajic was dropped in the first four seconds, and Pacheco rained right handed shots for the next forty-seven seconds and her corner threw in the towel to stop the fight. Dominant is an understatement for what we witnessed.

The deeper we go in these regular season rounds, the more finishes we are seeing in the PFL. Wonderful stuff for fans around the world.

It wasn’t to be for Usman who had brought an African interest in the night’s action, he gets another chance to redeem himself.

The PFL is back on our screens on the 10th of June with an intriguing card, which will feature the greatest female boxer out there when Claressa Shields steps in for her mixed martial arts debut.
