In what should have been a routine face-off to promote the upcoming exhibition fight between Mayweather and the younger Paul brother, it didn’t go that way.

As Mayweather was finishing up some red carpet questions on his way out. He was faced by the older Paul brother who seemed to have heard Mayweather says “he could take on both brothers in one night”. Mayweather went on to state that “they were both fake fighters and he was a real fighter”.

This led to the former world champion exchanging words with Jake Paul who then grabbed the white cap on Mayweather and took off. As he grabbed the hat he yelled “gotcha hat”, and Mayweather attempted to get his cap back.

What followed was a two-minute scuffle which didn’t lead to a fight thankfully. But one should not that someone could have been hurt.

Hours later true to form the famous Youtuber has gone to his website and has launched “gotcha hat” merchandise.

It will be interesting to see if the fight promoters take any action against the two men.
