The BAL has announced the three groups for their inaugural season which tips off in twelve days. 

The three groups of four have all been decided and there is a good mix of teams across the region. With the exception of Group C where the North Africa derby awaits when Zamalek face GS Petroliers.

The groups are well balanced and there should be close battles throughout the group stages.

The league’s tournament which begins on the 16th of May ends on the 30th of May was organized by the NBA and FIBA to create a larger footprint for the game on the continent.
