I understand Angela Rayner and Andy Burnham's teams have been in touch over the last 24 hours. Source says Rayner's staff thanked Burnham for support and Burnham's team affirmed their view that she had been treated "disgracefully" by Keir Starmer.
According to HuffPost’s Rachel Wearmouth, some Labour MPs are complaining Sir Keir Starmer’s reshuffle did not go far enough.
Some moderate Labour MPs are not content with Starmer's reshuffle & are seeking meeting with the leader, I'm told.
One source says: "Reshuffle was a bit too minimal and leaves a lot more to do. Needs to be more brutal and done sooner."
