Mother’s Day Cakes Inspiration

Hi everyone! Mother’s Day is one of my favorite ways to celebrate being a mom of two young boys. So what is the perfect way to treat a loved one other than a cake and cupcakes? So, of course, you can’t go wrong with handcrafted cake & cupcakes. Now that’s the way to a special mama’s heart! I’ve collected some gorgeous Mother’s Day cakes and cupcakes for you to save for your next Mother’s Day!

Dusty Rose & Peach Cakes

I decorated these cakes for my cake business’s Mother’s Day cake pre-orders. The cake flavors are vanilla cake with peach and raspberry filling (respectively) with American Buttercream. I used Guittard white chocolate chips mixed with heavy cream for the drip (4:1 ratio for white chocolate) and some to make it bright white. As for the finishing touches, I splattered the cake with mixed with a bit of vodka, sprinkled the top with Fancy Sprinkles blend (use CAKEINSPO15 for a 15% order discount) and a rose.

Watercolor & Floral Drip Cake

This was another Mother’s Day cake last year. It was a chocolate cake frosted with Italian Meringue. Drips are my favorite thing to do. So many colors and variations! I believe I used Chefmaster for this cake and drips. I can’t recall which sprinkle mix this is, but I used for the top of the cake.
