Jovi Dufren of  made sure to make his wife Yara Zaya’s first Mother’s Day special, but fans actually voted Jovi’s mom Gwen to be their favorite duo alongside Yara. Gwen quickly became a fan-favorite cast member for her no-nonsense and supportive ways. The mother of Jovi teamed up with Yara for a Mother’s Day video that saw many viewers praising the female duo as one of their favorite franchise pairs.

Jovi has come a long way over the last year, as the husband of Yara stepped up when she gave birth to their infant daughter Mylah. The New Orleans resident and a beautiful box of pink roses. However, Gwen has been the person who has remained by Yara's side throughout her pregnancy. While Jovi was delayed for four months due to his job and the pandemic, Gwen lived with Yara and took care of her pregnant daughter-in-law. Gwen is currently supporting Yara while Jovi travels for work, which has led to many viewers supporting the female duo. Unlike other mothers in the franchise, Gwen is happy to see her son married and mature.

One posted a video of Yara and Gwen on Reddit that the two shared on Instagram. The clip features the two mothers wishing a happy Mother's Day to all other moms out there. "The fan favorite couple of last season still has a great relationship. Yara and Jovi’s mom Gwen," the user captioned their post. Many commenters agreed with the assessment. "That's so nice that they are such good friends. It warms my heart," one fan wrote. Others were skeptical of the way TLC portrays the duo. "If TLC is tricking us on TV and this is the relationship they actually have in real life, then I'm glad they get along together," another viewer wrote. "I love their relationship. Gwen has been who is not overbearing or afraid to call her son out for his bad behavior. "Gwen should do a Q&A on how not to be an a****** mother-in-law," one commenter advised. First-time mom Yara is reluctant to forgo her ideas of raising a kid, which might be a source of tension since Gwen is her biggest help while Jovi travels. Gwen is a celebrated franchise mom, while Yara and Jovi's story brings something fresh to the table rather than recycle repetitive drama like other 90 Day Fiancé couples.
