MARS, Pa. (KDKA) – The Mars Area School District has signed off on a new contract with the teachers union.

According to a report from the , the district and the Mars Education Association had a tentative deal in place for several months.

The final deal includes a wage increase, health insurance benefits, and will require the district to create an advisory committee to make recommendations on remote learning and live-streaming instruction.
