‘He Beat Me When I Asked For My Money,’ Shopkeeper Narrates Story Of Sushil Kumar’s Bullying
custody by the Delhi Police has now been extended until Saturday after he was arrested for getting involved in the murder of fellow wrestler on May 4, 2021, and ran away from his home with the hopes of escaping from the law.
With every passing day, Kumar’s recognition as a two-time Olympic medalist is reducing and an image of a bullying goon with close ties with gangsters is being more prominent.

Recently, yet another story of his crimes surfaced. According to a Kirana shopkeeper named Satish Goyal, the 38-year old beat him up for asking for the money owed to him by the wrestler for the delivery of ration to him at the Chhatrasal Stadium.
While in a conversation with , Goyal expressed that the arrangement of ordering ration on credit started back when Sushil Kumar’s father-in-law was a coach at the stadium.

He added that another coach named Birendra used to order ration during the COVID-19 lockdown of 2020 but never used to pay. It was only when this coach got transferred to another location that Goyal asked for the money, approximately Rs 4 lakh, owed to him.
Goyal added that he was called by a person named Ashok, who collected the copies of all the bills from the ration ordered by Coach Birendra and the following day, was asked to meet Sushil Kumar.
Goyal begged the athlete for the massive amount which he was owed but instead of helping out the shopkeeper, what Kumar did was simply inhuman.

"I will die if I don't get the payment for the rations provided," Goyal had told Kumar, to which the wrestler said: “Oh! You will die? Then OK, die!”
He then beat up the poor businessman along with his boys.
Goyal further said that he had to lock himself up in his house “for weeks” and was extremely scared for his life. He had also registered an FIR against Kumar but the police failed to take any sort of action back then.
"Now, they are calling me and saying that action will be taken. Sushil's associate Ajay also took rations worth Rs 25 thousand for distribution during the lockdown. He also never paid back the money. Boys in the stadium told me that the coaches had collected money from them to pay my dues. Big and swanky cars used to be there in the stadium. I thought they have worked hard for it, I was not aware that they were involved in crimes," Satish told India Today.
