It Looks Like Dwayne Johnson Confirms He's Done With The FAST AND FURIOUS Franchise

Dwayne Johnson made a great addition to the Fast and Furious franchise when he took on the role of Hobbs, but his time in the franchise has come to an end. While some fans have been hoping to see the return of Hobbs at some point in the next two sequels, don’t hold your breath. Johnson has pretty much confirmed he’s not returning.

I don’t blame him after all of the drama between him and Vin Diesel. Why put himself back in that situation? Dieselfor Johnson’s acting in the franchise, saying, "My approach at the time was a lot of tough love to assist in getting that performance where it needed to be. That took a lot of work. We had to get there and sometimes, at that time, I could give a lot of tough love."

When that was brought up in a recent interview with , Johnson said:

“I laughed and I laughed hard. I think everyone had a laugh at that. And I’ll leave it at that. And that I’ve wished them well. I wish them well on Fast 9. And I wish them the best of luck on Fast 10 and Fast 11 and the rest of the Fast & Furious movies they do that will be without me.”

So, Johnson is out, but that doesn’t mean we won’t see him again in a Hobbs and Shaw sequel. That is a possibility, but we’ll just have to wait and see. Regardless, it’s a shame that things went down the way they did, but Johnson doesn’t really need the franchise. He and his career are going to be fine.
