JORDAN POOLE GIVES THE WARRIORS A WEAPON THEY’VE NEVER HAD BEFORE

COLORS  | FULL

If the Warriors are going to rekindle any magic they had from their five-year dynastic run atop the league, it will have to start with replenishing the offensive production that has been missing the past two seasons. With  having missed the past two seasons due to ACL and Achilles injuries,  had to carry a young, inexperienced, and injury-ravaged Golden State squad.

Now that Klay is back in the fold, as well as some young pieces, Golden State has a chance to make a leap back toward the top of the Western Conference. One of those players is shooting guard Jordan Poole, who looks poised for a breakout season. He shot 35% from three-point range and 88% from the free-throw line in 2021, bringing an element of scoring off the bench that Golden State did not really have during their reign stop the league.

On all of their Championship teams, GSW never had a backup guard who could come in and create his won shot for others like Poole can. He showed off the work he’s put in this offseason with seven 3PM during the Warriors preseason opener and 30-point performances like that will be needed while Thompson is out to keep Golden State afloat until their All-Star SG returns. The Warriors will need that scoring punch as they look to challenge the likes of the Lakers, Jazz, Suns, and  atop the mighty West.
