9.00pm The Spice Girls at the BBC BBC Two - A trip into the music archives to mark 25 years since the formation of the Spice Girls, featuring their finest appearances on a range of BBC shows from over the year, from their breakout number one Wannabe through to their final release as a girl band, Headlines.

10.00pm Later with Jools Holland BBC Two - Damon Albarn performs a song from his new solo album The Nearer The Fountain, More Pure The Stream Flows, and Emeli Sandé chats about her music and how it marks an era of creative freedom for her. Making her debut on the show is Julie Campbell, aka Lonelady, filmed at Brunswick Mill in her hometown of Manchester.

8.00pm The Mating Game BBC One - New David Attenborough series exploring the lengths that animals go to in search of a mate, featuring footage of dancing, fighting and even deceiving potential partners. The first episode features footage of a young ostrich preparing to mate for the first time and an ageing zebra fending off younger rivals, as well as the sneakier tactics of the nursery web spider and kangaroos fighting for supremacy. Plus, male birds that pose as females to get closer to their intended mates unnoticed.

9.00pm Ridley Road BBC One - Four-part drama based on the novel of the same name. Agnes O'Casey, Eddie Marsan and Tracy-Ann Oberman star. Jewish hairdresser Vivien walks out on her wedding in 1962 to go in search of her lost love Jack in London - but is shocked to see him apparently at a rally by a neo-Nazi movement. She discovers that he and her own estranged uncle are agents for a secret underground movement battling far-right extremism. When a confrontation at a Jewish school leaves Jack missing and a student dead, Vivien is persuaded to take up his assignment as an undercover operative.

9.00pm The Ranganation BBC Two - Romesh Ranganathan hosts a topical comedy show, in which a diverse group of 20 members of the public drawn from all walks of life are invited to share their thoughts on the state of modern Britain today. Romesh and his outspoken and passionate focus group will be joined in the studio by two celebrity guests, including Jack Dee, as well as his mum.

9.00pm Listening Through the Lens BBC Two - Documentary about the director who championed classical music on television, seizing upon his unique access to a generation of musicians. Narrated by Stephen Fry.

10.20pm Sorry, I Didn't Know ITV2 - Return of the panel show with a twist, hosted by Jimmy Akingbola, with team captains Chizzy Akudolu and Judi Love and guests unveiling interesting Black history facts along the way. Jimmy is joined by Russell Kane, Dane Baptiste, Reginald D Hunter and Fatiha El-Ghorri this week.

9.00pm Blair & Brown: The New Labour Revolution BBC Two - Documentary series examining the careers of those at the heart of New Labour, featuring interviews with the key players involved in a movement that still divides opinion to this day. The series begins in 1983, when Labour suffered a savage election defeat and two young Labour MPs entered Parliament for the first time. Tony Blair and Gordon Brown came from very different backgrounds, but they shared the same burning ambition - to make Labour electable again.

9.30pm Murder Island Channel 4 - Murder mystery with a twist - the investigators are members of the public, competing to find the killer and pocket themselves £50,000. The body of Charly Hendricks has been found at an old run-down property she was renting from the local pub landlord. It's up to four pairs of amateur sleuths to search the scene and unpick the clues, hoping to find a motive for the crime. Created by leading crime writer Ian Rankin.

Wednesday

Streaming Today - Bad Sport[/b]- Netflix - Documentary series looking at global sporting scandals.

9.00pm Catching a Predator BBC Two - The inside story of the investigation into serial male rapist Reynhard Sinaga, the biggest rape case in British legal history. With exclusive access to Greater Manchester Police's investigation from 2017 to 2019, this film tells the story of Sinaga's horrific crimes and his eventual conviction, when he was prosecuted in 2020 for 159 counts of rape and other sexual offences, against 48 men.

9.00pm Alexander Armstrong in Iceland Channel 5 - The presenter embarks on a journey across Iceland, traversing the full breadth of the country to discover more about Iceland's unique culture, wildlife and landscapes. He begins his Icelandic adventure in a helicopter, hovering just yards above the rim of an erupting and lethal volcano close to the capital of Reykjavik, before heading east to Iceland's Golden Circle, which is home to some of its most famous sights.

10.00pm Restoring the Earth: The Age of Nature BBC Four - Documentary series about nature's resilience, and how ecosystems devastated by human impact can be revived and become sustainable for future generations.

9.00pm Naked, Alone and Racing to Get Home E4 - Two pairs of complete strangers are stripped bare of all clothes and possessions to race across the English countryside in a bid to be the first to reach a cash prize for charity and their clothes. Will they have the strength to survive in the country's most extreme environments, and find ways to cover their modesty when they reach busy town centres?

9.00pm Prue's Great Garden Plot More4 - Documentary following Prue Leith and her husband John Playfair as they move into a new home - the first time they have lived together as a married couple - and set about turning the adjacent two-acre rubbish tip into a glorious garden.

9.00pm Savile: Portrait of a Predator ITV - Documentary looking inside the criminal world of Jimmy Savile - one of Britain's most prolific sex offenders - through the eyes of those who worked alongside him and who investigated him after his death 10 years ago this month. Featuring interviews with key witnesses and a detective who investigated his crimes for the Met's Operation Yewtree, it reveals how Savile planned his career and lifestyle to aid his abuse, escape detection and avoid being held to account.

10.00pm Football Trolls Channel 4 - There have been growing calls for social media companies to address online trolling after nearly 2,000 discriminatory abusive tweets targeted at Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Raheem Sterling in the 24 hours after the Euros final. Jermaine Jenas tackles the issue by confronting the game's powerbrokers as well as some of the footballers on the receiving end of the abuse. He also discusses his own personal experiences, getting abusive messages every day. Contributors include Anita Asante, Kyle Walker and Jordan Henderson.

10.00pm The Emily Atack Show ITV2 - Sketches, stand-up comedy and impressions, as Emily offers up her take on the big topics of the day.

9.00pm Susan Calman's Grand Day Out Channel 5 - The comedian's second run of excursions begins on the Norfolk Broads, where she is invited aboard a beautifully restored boat known as a wherry. Moving onto Cromer, Susan has come for the famous crab, but also discovers the local jig dolls. Part puppet, part percussion instrument, it leads to a very happy time in a pub.

9.00pm Valley of Tears More4 - Israeli drama depicting the 1973 Yom Kippur War of 1973. Leading up to the ultimate battle, the plot follows young combatants thrust into a war that was later revealed could have been avoided by an arrogant political system and by leaders they blindly trusted.

9.00pm Charmed to Death Sky Crime - The true stories of people who fell into the clutches of charismatic killers. A beautiful blonde causes havoc in a small town as she seduces various lovers who all seem to wind up dead.
