Warzone Adds Scream's Ghost Face & Potentially Donnie Darko As Skins

Raven Software officially confirmed Scream’s Ghost Face is coming to in time for Halloween and a leak also points to the inclusion of a Donnie Darko skin. The battle royale’s The Haunting event nears its second straight year and is expected to bring back Halloween-themed game modes and new operator cosmetics. And while developers haven’t confirmed much about may be revisited by limited-time game modes like BR Trick-Or-Trios and Zombie Royale.
Last year, Call of Duty: Warzone celebrated its first Halloween and Raven Software pulled out all the stops. The battle royale was taken over by zombified players in Zombie Royale, as dead enemies came back to haunt their killers with supernatural abilities. On top of limited-time game modes, Raven Software also added cosmetics inspired by iconic horror flicks. Texas Chainsaw Massacre’s Leatherface and Saw’s Billy The Puppet were available in the store. The developers also released a transformed map that added recreations of familiar horror film locales. On top of that, developers added Halloween Easter eggs like transparent ghosts, chest jump scares, and a secret Jigsaw lair to Verdansk.

The Ghost Face cosmetic was leaked before Raven Software confirmed it on October 6. It was revealed by the same leaker who claimed the Donnie Darko skin will be available in Warzone. So while the infamous rabbit costume hasn’t been confirmed by the developers, it’s certainly possible that the psychological thriller will make its Verdansk debut. It’s not clear if the skin will appear alongside Ghost Face on October 19, or if the developers will spread out the cosmetics. As of now, Raven Software has not revealed what else it would do to .
It’s likely the developers will simply throw in the limited-time game modes from last year like Zombie Royale, but it’s also possible that new modes will be introduced. Fortnite’s Fortnitemares event has already begun, bringing with it a Frankenstein’s Monster skin to the battle royale. Perhaps Warzone will try to compete with Epic Game’s massive Halloween event, adding new twists and turns for The Haunting 2021. But the event doesn't begin until October 19 and Raven Software isn't set to reveal more information until October 18 via the Call of Duty blog. Until then, players will have to make do with the recently released .
