New Lodgings Now Available on Richard Branson’s Moskito Island

, owned by Richard Branson, has just become a little more reachable thanks to the recent decision to offer two new luxury lodging options for those hoping to escape the hustle-bustle of city life.

On the 125-acre Caribbean Island, visitors will be able to stay at the Oasis which sleeps 18. There, the infinity pool provides the perfect place to make a splash (or lounge under the sun’s golden rays). One can even swim up to the bar or living areas.

Another swanky option, the Point, offers accommodations for up to 22 people. An infinity pool is on the menu as well, although Manchioneel Beach’s white sands may prove more tempting. The two properties include entry to a communal Beach House.

Of course, all the services one would expect to find in a Virgin Limited Edition property are available in the form of a private chef, estate manager, and full-service staff.

Whether one opts to stay at the Oasis or the Point Estate is a personal decision, but arriving in the British Virgin Islands requires visitors to chart the same course. Currently, the BVI is quarantine-free for fully vaccinated travelers (subject to change). Other restrictions apply.

Most guests arrive at Beef Island where the staff will meet them, escorting the group to a private boat that will reach the booked estate. A glass of bubbly is in order on the way! Once they land, an agenda of fine dining, snorkeling, kitesurfing, and sailing is on the cards.

Although there is rarely a “bad time” to go to the British Virgin Island (save for hurricanes), the high season follows the western world’s vacation schedule. From mid-December to mid-April, the crowds come rolling in. Then again, on a private island like this, they will not be a burden.

The Oasis Estate sits at the top of Moskito Island a four-story private house. If there views outside aren’t enough, revelers will adore the floor-to-ceiling windows that give 24/7 access to the scene. Current rates are $19,000 per night in low season and $28,000 in high.

The large estates are perfect for big groups, although smaller accommodations are available upon request.

The Pointe provides a slightly smaller retreat for nature lovers. The eight-bedroom home offers not one but two master suites and a separate guesthouse. The rumor is that this property is apt for setting up shop for a little sea turtle watching.

The cozy abode also boasts a large television with a giant comfy couch as well as a pool table. Behind the amenities, floor-to-window ceilings make a show out of the dazzling sunsets that are so common in the British Virgin Islands.

The Pointe’s rates are $17,500 for low season and $25,000 for high.

The island’s third property, the Branson estate, is also available for vacation bookings. The low season charge is $25,000, $36,000 during the high season.
