FUOYE schedules virtual matriculation, neglects ASUU.

NEW POST:

The Vice-Chancellor of FUOYE, Prof. Kayode Soremekun, has deliberately paid no attention to ASUU protest when he said the school will hold its virtual matriculation on August 28. The management announced the matriculation date for all newly admitted students of the institution for the 2020/2021 academic session. Also, it stated that the ceremony will be held online through zoom application. The school management urges all new students to pay their school fees so as to partake in the online matriculation. Thus, failure to do so will result in an automatic loss of studentship. In an interview, FUOYE Vice-Chancellor said he was not answerable to ASUU and had the right to run the university. Also, Soremekun said about 6,000 students were admitted for the 2019/2020 academic session across various disciplines. He said, “We are having virtual matriculation on August 28 for 2019/2020 academic session. It will be virtual in the sense that we will put all the students on alert and in order to avoid the crowd crush, only the principal officers, Dean of Students Affairs and the Vice-Chancellor will be there.” Read more https://funmitrends.com.ng/2020/07/16/headteacher-revamps-classroom-to-poultry-farm/
