Premier NBA Playoffs Highlights From East Conference Finals Game 6
The two well-coached sides from Boston and Miami have been locked in a chess-match all series long, and the Heat have finally managed to checkmate the Celtics to propel themselves to their first NBA Finals appearance since the reign of King James in South Beach. Big man Bam Adebayo flexed his muscle with some career-best playoff scoring, Tatum tucked away a tenacious dunk, and a few others participated in what appeared to be an in-game dunk contest.

Open/CloseBam Adebayo and company forced their way to the NBA Finals as Adebayo became the first player in the playoffs since his team’s future Finals adversary, LeBron James in 2014 to post a 30-point, 10-rebound, 5-assist game. His performance would not be complete, however, without accommodating fans with a pair of raucous slam dunks to boot.

It was a tale of two quarters for Jayson Tatum as he retaliated from his scoreless first period to punch in 12 second period points including this high-soaring fully cocked back slam reminiscent of the NBA Jam videogame.

A team-high in points (26) from Jaylen Brown still wasn’t enough to put his Celtics over the top, but he can scavenge this play for his scrapbook on which he showcased blazing speed and ludicrous leaping ability.

Turning back the clock on this wickedly vicious dunk was Andre Iguodala as he plunged into the depths of Boston’s defense to find a cylinder of which he could inflict some punishment as he used to do so frequently on the Philadelphia 76ers.

As he’s progressed into the great two-way player he is today, Marcus Smart has put together a multitude of aggressive steals. This time, Smart’s All-NBA defense led to a straight-away flush which would tie the highly heated game late in the third.

The battle for the Eastern Conference reached its climax during Sunday’s contest between Boston and Miami. The two squads were jockeying for position all game long with surges led by Adebayo and Brown, and it wasn’t until a late push in the final period that revealed the Heat to be the best team in the East.
